An appeals court upheld Harvey Weinstein’s 2022 rape and sexual assault conviction in California on Friday, but ordered his trial judge to resentence him.
The disgraced film tycoon, whose misconduct spurred a social movement in Hollywood, was found guilty of assaulting an Italian model in her hotel room during a film festival. Her identity was kept private during a trial in Los Angeles. Weinstein was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
